Can anyone ID this Joint and tell me whether it is possible or even pracicle to convert this to 3/8x10 Black G-10 pin and a flat face wood to wood joint?

Any opinions on this would help greatly! I know the joint and shaft phote arent too clear but Im hoping you guys will stil be able to recognize the hardware!
Thanks!!!

Looks like a 5/16-14.

Changing pin is possible. MAybe some cuemakers can help here.

Due to the pilot on the shaft, you're going to lose a 1/4" in length and the ss collar. But that's a good thing. IMO, a ss collar should never be used with a big pin. You should be able to appreciably feel what the big pin is giving you without it being distorted by a steel joint. JMO.
Since you are going for wood to wood, I suspect that you are someone who appreciates a sweet hitting cue. Lose the steel and you'll have it. The butt is timeless, I wouldn't touch it.

This would also be an opportunity to class-up the joint deco rings. Black collars and even the single white ring just don't get it. This cue deserves better. Some thin dash with a thin white on either side might have appeal. The cue has possibilities.

I agre with KJ except for for the losing 1/4" in length part. This can easily be done without losing any length, just gotta insert a plug in the joint end.
I absolutely agree with the fact this cue has endless possibilities. Good luck and if you do it make sure you post after photos :)

Not a problem at all. And you don't have to lose any length either. I think it'd be extra trick to swap the steel collar with faux ivory and a big blk G10 pin.;)

That's kinda what I was thinking, except with real ivory, and have the dufferin inlay swapped out for a different inlay as well. I need to get my hands on one of these cues :)
