Bernie, you are an insider so to speak, you should contact Deno directly and if you get any concrete information pass it on. You shouldn't try to embarrass Deno I think he can't wait to tell you if he could. Remember from the Godfather, "Never discuss the family business outside of the family".

This is the 3rd thread in three days that he's started about this subject.

You loose a couple of things as you get old .... one is your memory ... unfortunately I can't remember the other.

Dave, I think

It sounds like he is implying that they know what channel and when and are just sitting on the info. We really dont need 3 threads on these. A moderator should merge them all into one.

your right, i am impatient, it's a new york thing. would you agree that the biggest news since the announcment of the ipt, is the station time and date it will be shown on????

I think the announcement of specific events would be more important than the time and date of some TV show, but then I'm not on the tour. In fact, I'm a bit nervous about the TV thing. As a bit of a sports purist I may not enjoy seeing a sporting event displayed as a 'reality TV' show done by a marketing-evalgelist, but that's just me . I will look in if the coverage extends to Canada. Note that not all TV channels are distributed into all markets, so depending on who runs the show, we may or may not see it. There are a few AZers that I would like to see on TV, just to get some idea of how they really play, it's hard to tell over the Internet.

Dave

I would say the announcement is very important because it is the first step to reaching a larger audience. If pool is to flourish it needs viewers who don't spend thousands of dollars a year on the game. The tournaments by themselves at the moment are still, to a major degree, our (the pool community) little secret.

I beg to differ with our "friend" Bernie... Impatience is not a "New York thing"... it's actually impatience because of ignorance. For example, driving 30 mph in the left lane... standing in front of the TV when you're not the only one watching... posting the same friggin question on the same site... over... and over...

  I thought THOSE WERE ALL NEW YAWKER things! :D

I don't get Fox Sports.... this is who televised the MS/LJ match if I'm not mistaken.... If they end up wit a contract with Fox Sports, I won't be seeing any of them. I've had both cable & Satellite and neither one of them in this area carries Fox Sports.

I am confused

Satellite television including Direct TV and Dish network all carry Fox Sports and deliver that signal all over the world. I cannot imagine your little corner of the world would no be able to subscribe through them. The signal comes from space, everyone can get it. Now cable that could be a different story. Your local Fox Sport would come from Direct T.V. out of Pittsburgh probably.

I have all of the ESPN channels but none of the fox sports channels. I signed up over 2 yrs ago so I don't remember which plan I have... I think I went with the top 100. Either way, I don't get it so if it's on Fox Sports, I won't be seeing it. I do have the regular Fox channel but none of the sports. :(

Still confused Timberly

Are you talking about cable or direct t.v. If you have Direct T.V. you can't help but get fox sports. It is offered to everyone. Some places Direct T.V. is a better option than cable and cheaper. They do not exclude your little corner of the world.

In my little corner of the world I have DishNetwork because it is much cheaper than what the thieves at comcast charge.

I'm not quite sure why you don't believe me when I tell you that I do not have something. I've had this satellite for a little over two yrs.... Fox Sports is NOT carried on the plan that I have. Please see the list below taken from the website stating what sports channels I get with the package that I have....

ESPN ESPN2 ESPNews TV Games Network
ESPN Alternate ESPN2 Alternate Horse Racing TV

I had to pay an extra $5 to get the regional sports channels. The only reason I did was for all the billiards that were on. At the time it was BCN and the world pool championship. There was also mosconi and a few others. It was worth the $5 since pool was on, at least, a couple hours a day.

That was over the last year, I don't have Dishnetwork anymore.

Anyways, call em up and ask for regional sports, if you like...

I believe you

However you stated you cannot get fox sports. All I am telling you is you can get it. You are complaining about something that is easily rectifiable.
I am trying to tell you get what you pay for. You obviously have the cheapest package. For an additional 10 bucks a month you can get practically every fox sports channel in the country including the bay area. Check it out and then you won't have to worry about missing the ipt broadcasts.
