My uncle has a table that is alil smaller than a bar table, it is a brunswick but the felt (not bad as torn or anything just really old)and the balls are in really bad shape as far as bening chalky and heavy feeling but i can practice on it as much as i want for free.. but i dont want it to throw my game off or hurt my game, i do the majority of playing on bar tables with "alright felt"..i would appreciate any advice ......Thanks

Practice on it, you will just have to adjust for feel of different a different table. If you are running out on that table, then you will be running out on a bar box almost the same. Maybe invest in a better set of balls.

Anything is better than nothing. As long as the size of the table is a 2:1 ratio it shouldn't hurt your game too much. However try to get on the 9 footers every once in a while.

I'd practice on it if I were you. You can also teach yourself cool stuff like the diamond systems, banks, patterns, all that stuff translates to any size table.

If nothing else you can practice your stroke and shot making. If you can hit a ball straight in at 2 feet the ball will still go straight in at 9 feet. If you can cut the ball at 45 degrees it does not matter what the distance is. You can still train your eye.

You can practice clusters, caroms, combos and etc. Those are all killers on BB and with a smaller table they become more abundant.

As for the cloth, get use to it because most bar tables are in bad condition anyways.

Go for it.
