Last night I saw Bill Bailey and a older( looks like in late forties or early 50s) guy in action in Jimbob`s. These two are not from Mississippi.Older guy played one pocket with a local young stud and got the rod rammed into him.Bill Bailey played 9 Ball with another local guy and beat him 2 sets in 9 Ball.Later Bailey`s opponent unscrewed his stick, paid the money and left. The local guys backer`s are loaded with money.
Does this mean the place is warming up for the upcoming event on the weekend?
Are Bailey and the old guy coming back today for some more?
Do u think some more roadies will be here by this evening for some action? If not for action they can come here for good food.JimBob`s is known for it`s food.
JimBob` is one of the very few places in the united States with reasonably good amount of space between the tables.
Local Backers want to give away, common down

I hope my buddy Jason, not Jaybird, stays away...he is a sporty one hole player, but he would be outta his league against Bailey. Bailey is playing strong from what I hear. Not sure who the older guy is...but I may have an idea.

Good luck this weekend Vegabond...it's gonna be a fun one!

Do u think that Jayson will have a chance if Bailey gives him 10-6 ?

Possibly...he plays Hennessee 9-7...and Hennessee don't like it much, or at least thats what I saw last time they played. Could be interesting with 10-6. He spells his name Jason though...so we talking bout the same guy?

Both men are from Chattanooga. Billy Bailey said he owns the Diamond Billiards poolroom there. His friend called himself "Boney". Someone later referred to him as Jim. He's probably mid-fifties,very neat & trim, and a gentleman. Bailey plays strong 9-ball. I can only guess what his 1P game is like. I think they were headed back to Tenn. today.

I'm guessing that your AZB moniker is pretty accurate, based on your posts from remote locations. Yes?

You are welcome. And, thank you for the posts!

Do you know any of the pool people around the Tulsa area?

Brian Jones and I know each other.Shane Mcminn and some others have seen me in Billiards palace on 21st or 23rd street.

Vagabond, I can vouch for the food at Jim-Bob's myself. The food choice is varied, tasty and affordable, something you don't always get in a pool hall.
:-)

I will be over at Jim-Bob's on Saturday morning. Hope to meet you there.

Have you personally gotten any action in Mobile or Gulfport?
