If you beat a field of 400+...I say you've done alright.
I never thought of Derby as a world championship even though a world champion will probably win.
To me DDC is 9 days of nonstop pool action for all types of players, vendors and pool disciplines.
As in past years, the event will be packed with fans and players.
I wish I could be there.

You would need to put * by the winners' names in a lot of men's and women's tournament results in recent years if you did this.
With what goes on with Chinese players, Russian players, Dennis, the flu, etc., who the heck wants to get involved with drawing those lines?

When I think of dcc I think of danny deleberto saying that there was a sign, I think at the johnson city open that said "no, no gambling", That's a pool tournament.

Over 400 players have entered the 9-Ball event each of the last 3 years. But, of course, the winner doesn't play 400 opponents. The number of matches played by the winner was 13 in 2022 and 2020 and 14 in 2019. And, as we know, some of the opponents in the early rounds are far from pro caliber. Still, victory in this event is significant, with a large number of pros in the field.
No shit, of course you don't play all 400+ players. Would be the longest tournament ever

I was really hoping to go this year, for the first time. Perhaps even run into a few of you degenerates and locking horns.
