Is the Super Billiard Expo pro event a Matchroom ranking event?

Hell no. The turn out last year was terrible. We were just talking about it today. It used to be a premier tournament of the year and now with the matchroom events it’s not worth the travel. The pay out is terrible and last year it became single elimination.

I havent attended in nearly a decade , was considering going this yr.
From what youre saying, it sounds like its lost alot of its allure.
 
Sad to hear because that was where everyone in the industry would be at one time.

The pro area was always full until they started charging entry(thank God they did) seemed like people would only be in there so they could sit down, saving seats, etc. Much better after entry was charged. IMHO

Still great for cue/case/accessories shopping and gambling.

Hopefully I can get there this year

Single elimination, alternate break and best of five sets with each set being a race-to-five. They had originally posted that it would be first to WIN five sets, making it a potential best of nine sets. Had they done that, there's a very good chance its still going on at this moment.
 
They haven’t announced anything yet. I actually play leagues with the women that runs the tournaments and she said they are trying to make it a points event. That would get some draw back.
