are there any programs to see what a veneer combo /wood combo /inlay etc would look like upon completion?
i have a design in mind but have no clue what it would look like in a finished cue

Photo shop and cad if you know you know your way around. I vaguely remember a cue maker possibly having a program for sale at one point but I have no idea who.

GIMP works too if you don't want to purchase photoshop. There are tutorials over everything it can do, since it's open source it gets a lot of videos from fans.

Very true! I’m usually good about mentioning solid freeware. I’m always telling folks anytime I hear Microsoft office and “buy” need” etc…download Libre Open office and or Apache Open office.

Exact same workability with broader file types as well. The layout is just diff than word, if that’s your hang up to still spend a big wad then your definitely a fish and kids going to college can laugh at the “Microsoft office required” bs.

I've worked up a template I can use in Vectorworks, CAD software I have been using at work since 2002. I've done a couple mockups for a custom Tasc build I have in the works. The images above from Fusion 360 look nice, can get the same kind of images from Vectorworks.
