Is there a weight between the 8 & 9

It has been said that the last 2 is just a reason to get up and play-when its involving 2 strong players. The last 2 is more meaningful to C players than champions,

That is true for sure about the last 2 (3, whatever). I have been playing a guy in my room fun sets (for coffee or a $10 or something silly) giving 3 to 7 in 9-ball but still winning the large majority of the sets in the past few months. I am going to try to even it out more for him with the last 2 and maybe a game or 2 on the wire as well. He seems to lose quite a bit on poor shape on the 8 or 9, the last 2 should help that out and make the games more even.
