Is this a Gold Crown III?

From what I have seen over the years.
GC 1 &2 had different colored side panels (plastic or firberglass?).
GC 3 were all wood or wood veneered panels. They looked like all wood.
GC 4 were black.
GC 5 on their website and look real thin.
I would say you have a GC4 if it is all black.

There are definitely black GC3s... lots of threads here on AZB about them. Typically they are glossy, "piano" black.
Black GC4s are typically matte black.
Interestingly, I've found some pictures of GC4s that had no head rail badge, like this one in the pic. But GC4s have stamped logos in the corner pocket casings, and flush-mount pockets, while this table has neither of those features.
So, I'm thinking this is either some kind of hybrid GC3/4, or maybe a knock-off, or maybe someone refinished a GC3 and removed the head rail badge.
Black GC III...looks real nice...The side aprons are solid not veneer.
Don't all GCIIIs have a head rail badge?
Good call...could be a late 3 before they switched to the 4 which did not have a badge. The excrutions on the rails are GCIII. And so are the castings.
