Is this a good deal

I have a chance to pick up an 8ft Brunswick Contender 3 piece slate that says it is in excellent condition. I've only seen pcis.

Along with the table comes sticks, wall rack and reg racks, balls, cover and two oak chairs like you would see in a pool room.

The woman is asking $825. I thought this was a good deal because I've seen chairs like this that are a couple hundred a piece.

I was talking with a fellow at a tourny the other night and he says that the Contender is the bottom of the line Brunswick table and he thought the table was only worth about $600.

Does this seem right?

Really, wow I just thought it would be worth more being a Brunswick and all.

Still a good table, but it really IS the bottom of their line.
I have one for in the shop (dusty conditions) and it plays pretty well....
Just the cheapest of every option: plastic basket pockets (bought deep rubber boot style)
Pressed wood construction with plastisized “veneer” that is peeling off.
Lower quality rail rubber according to the table tech who set it up.

Overall the price you are quoting is kind of high... those chairs are what makes it even close.
Just my opinion
