Is this for real ? All balls on 9-Ball break

Still crazy after all these years

So a buddy just emailed me a 7MB movie of someone making all 9 balls off a break. The video has titles including :

"Nes-Cafe, Amsterdam" 06/06/2004 - 22:20"

The mpeg shows just a table with someone in the shadows lining up a break shot. He/she breaks and every ball drops ! It's quite amazing, but I'm not sure if it's real. Anybody seen this ?

OK, I went and found the site (like that was hard or something) :

http://www.nes-cafe.nl/home.shtml

There is a link on the right side for "9 - Balls Break Shot", have a look, it is amazing like they claim.

if its the one i saw its a fake.........if you look closely one of the balls just disappears from the rack as the rest go (seems like it was one of the headballs)

Also, it seems that several of the balls have a higher velocity after impact than the original velocity of the CB before impact. That ain't right.

I noticed that too, the balls that long-bank seem to go way too fast.

I guess you didn't read the comments.

They admit it is a fake but say someone called Fast Larry made 8 balls.

I saw a T.V. match last year where there were 6 Ball's made on the break. I think it was Pag vs Sambahon Jr.:)

I replayed it several times and used my pause/play to stop the action and I just can't tell. Description from cameras point of view (1) cue curves in and hits the 1 at 45 deg front. (2) the 2 ball slowly moves to left side pocket. (3) a blur that could be two balls (1 +?) streak to lower left corner. (4) a slightly blurred red or orange moves toward right side pocket. (5) the 9 follows the red or orange blur a little and banks across to the left side pocket. (6) A long blurr that could be two balls head straight in to lower right corner pocket. (7) two of the three back balls hit near rail and bank down to the upper corner pockets (left and right pockets). (8) one of the three back balls (either left back or straight back) sits a moment then rolls to lower left pocket. (9) cue ball banks near short rail to near right long to far left long to far short and straight back down table.

Even with the stop action it's hard to tell for sure.

You are correct, I did not read the 'comments'. I did read the 'about' , which of course says something completely different. They should lay off the 'stuff' methinks.

The most obvious proof that it is a fake it that the Cue Ball travels straight through the pack and hits the top rail with hardly any slowing.

The video overlaid an 8-ball set up trick shot I believe. One which the CB runs through the center of a set cluster.

If you analyze it closely, I think you'll find only 8 balls enter pockets and another disappears.
