On advice from another forum member I'm posting here to see if this table is good quality and worth getting.

They say it's Custom, 9ft but don't know what it is and can't see markings on it.

Looks like a Chinese table. Does not look like a custom table. I will post similar pics when I get to my computer.

Wow, glad I posted. I saw thick wood and figured it was well built.

Thank you

I think I'm going to stay with the top names on review sites like this one http://www.pooltablereviewguru.com/
Brunswick (Gold Crown or Anniversary only)
Olhausen
CL Bailey
Connelly
World of Leisure
Golden West

Is there any brand that you can get and safely know you're getting quality and value? I see even Olhausen has laminate tables now, I thought they were all hardwood.

Any concerns with any of these? I don't want a sub par table and I don't care about aesthetics or fancy carvings - I want a solid table that plays well but still has decent wife acceptance factor.
I used to play a lot when I was younger in halls and now am finally able to get a place with space for my own table. But I'm not wanting to spend several thousand, more like $1-3k used plus install.

Kingdom Billiards

Looks very similar to the King Richard from Kingdom Billiards. A cheap import table from China. The boast a retail of $6500.00. Really these tables sell for $2000 to $2500. Stay clear if you want my advice.

Best advice i could give you is look for a reputable table mechanic in your area and call them. You can look in this forum for ones in your state. If you are near Indiana I highly recommend Jack Zimmerman.
