Is this true ? When installing Simonis 860

I recently got a gold crown 3 and the installers left noticeable indentation down the rubber bumpers. They claimed they tighten the cloth a lot because with Simonis it would loser up within a month.

I’m not sure if they just messed it up or if they are telling the truth.

Can someone confirm ?

They stapled under the thumb when stretching the cloth instead of stapling beside the thumb when stretching the cloth. Hence you get a dimple.
Hope you get it sorted as it's not acceptable pertictly for a high end dollar cloth.

The best fix: remove the staples and try again. Of course, using the same installers may likely yield the same results (or worse).

Another option: place your fingers under the nose of the cushion. press into the cushion (slightly upward), and slide your hand down the length of the cushion. Do it a few times. Sometimes, you can even out the tension in the cloth. Sometimes you can't.

Good luck.

i would mist some water on the problem areas which will help the cloth to stretch a bit... this is a perfect example of why i learn to do things myself. long ago i had a Dallas mechanic set-up a gold crown for me and he screwed it up. i made a lot of mistakes but i also learned a lot. soon i'll be doing my rails now that i got the slate back on BY MYSELF. don't rely on ANYONE.

No it's not right, and neither are the cushions. Those look like Accufast cushions mounted on those rails. Did they mention installing cushions when you bought the table?

Those rails and cushions look real good compared to the only 9’ GC I found in Reno. I told the owner that his table was all screwed up and he didn’t realize it or probably care about it. He sure was proud of his 9’ table, I probably burst his bubble.
