ISO McDermott RS-11

Only one I have is this one.

It still has the same tip on it from the picture below.

The cue on the bottom. (The pieces of tape on the cue forearms was when I was measuring and comparing balance points between the cues in the pictures.)

Oh come on, do the guy a solid and sell it to him. You've probably just got it sitting in a box somewhere anyway.
It is.

It has been sitting for many years.

CJ went back to his Blud after winning this tournament in 1996 and the cue became a closet queen.

Based upon its history, I would ask more for it than what he can probably find one for.

It was made for CJ for The Million Dollar Challenge Tournament, it was used to win the tournament, and then it was retired. Perfect record.

Cool story for a special cue.

Look what I found. I got it a couple days ago and it is in beautiful condition.

Nice find.

How did you come to want a RS-11 out of all the cues that McDermott made?

The reason I have mine is because I got it from CJ.

I have an older McDermott C-14 that I bought new in 1985 and it was my main player for decades. It is in perfect condition. I had it refinished by McDermott a couple years back and also had them make me a new shaft. The original shaft is still perfect and plays as good as new.

I have turned down numerous offers for this cue, from the very first day I got it. It plays too good to get rid of.

When I started playing APA at my local bar the owner was a McDermott dealer and he had 2 or 3 RS models in his case and I fell in love with the 11 then but it sold before I could get it. That was somewhere around 95 and I've been looking ever since. I've been postings on here for a year or so and then I joined a Facebook McDermott group and have been posting on there for almost a year and then a guy contacted me from N.C. and he had gotten that one from the original owner. I gave up a Scruggs sneaky pete for it but I finally got the cue I've been searching for since the mid 90s.
