Several people have asked for Joint and Butt Cap size to match the Ferrules so I picked some up.
Color: Cream color.
Machining: Turns easily and doesn't tear up your tooling. It cuts a continuous chip so I would suggest a sharp HSS bit and cutting left to right. Also consider an interrupted cut to clear the chip when roughing them down. Either way, be careful of getting your fingers caught in the chip, its very strong stuff.
This material produces a softer hit but don't make the mistake of thinking its weak. This is a tough material. Holds its size very well, High Impact Resistance, takes a polish, chalk resistant and glues with either CA or Epoxy.
