Its davenport versus Parica in Riverside

It was a great tournament. Deo is 19 yrs old. He wanted to gamble with me, I wonder why???lol. Hes a solid player with a good future. We talked a bit, hes goin to the open, and discussed our travel arrangements, nice kid btw. Ernesto lost to Parica 9-2. Jose played around a .990 according to Ernesto. he ran 6 racks... I saw its and bits as I was playing simultaneously. Ernesto then lost to Davenport, great match at 7-5, but was closely contested placing 4th. Max placed 17th-24th. Other results, 5-6th Morro and Gerado Jamito. 7-8th, Efren and Ron Marshall. Cant remember the rest. For anybody wondering how Kim played, he beat me 9-0 only giving me 2 chances the entire match. He missed one ball, I sold out on about 2 of my kicks and he beat the daylights outta me. He was 100% focused and actually gave me some good advice after the match. I then lost on the hill with Morro after coming back  placing 17th, AGAIN

Don't feel bad, Kim was womping everyone. I think he beat Melissa Little 9 - 1 and it looked like he scratched on the break straight into the corner on purpose to give her a chance.

You are the comeback kid! I was having cardiac arrest watching your matches. You looked great out there. You have more tricks in your hat than Felix the Cat.

Corey Harper also had a good showing and looked in good stroke for the U.S. Open, finishing up in 9th place. Good for Corey after Tiger's trailer was stolen in Las Vegas.

All the best to you. Good luck at the open.

Chris

And the good advice was...?

Thx Chris. I was down my first match 6-0, won 8 straight and BARELY won on the hill. Then i played a filipino kid, he had me down 7-2, and I won the rest. Why I punish myself, I dont know??? Kim must have ran a total of 6 racks in a race to 9 on me. On a safety shot he played, we discussed other options than what I did, like trying to split the balls on a kick instead of trying to jump safe (which I tried to do  ). Besides that, he told me to try my best and bounce back because it was nearly impossible for me to win my match with him the way he fired out the gate. I played a two way on the first shot, he masse's the shot in and proceeds a 4 pack. I got my first CLEAN opportunity down 7-0. He made his first major mistake up 8-0, not much I can do...
