I printed this article in 2006 called, "Hustling, Gambling, and Playing for Money from an individual named Jim Loy. I do not know much about him, but within this article, he mentions that there are differences from these three concepts.
As you all know:
Now my focus is on the latter 2.
When I heard that gambling was illegal in the DCC, I figured it was just the outside people wagering in. Is it just that they do this? I believe so.
Also, what kind of makes me wonder is that if a pool player has a stake-horse, would that stake-horse be considered a gambler?
I will disclaim to you all that I do not know what action really is (besides playing for money... I've done this quite much).
So what is your insight to all of this?
As you all know:
- Hustling - downplaying your abilities to the level of your unskilled opponent in order for you to get the upper edge. They also imply the uses of "sharking" as well.
- Gambling - "playing a game of chance, or betting on someone else" (Loy)
- Playing for Money - **obviously** two people putting up their own money to settle the score on who is the best.
Now my focus is on the latter 2.
