How long do you wait to change your TIPS? How thin must they get befor you change em. Me I wait until the Tips are about the THICKNESS of a Dime......

I replace my tips when the edges are getting very close to the ferrule and it is looking like re-shaping the tip would cause damage to the ferrule.

I like a high tip, so usually when its down to around a nickles thickness.

Depends on my mood really, I change my own tips and if I feel like putting one on I will. Been playing with tailsman tips, so change them out about once a year or so.

I tend to scuff my tip more than some would recommend, but I like a consistent shape and since I play and break with the same cue it flattens out a bit over time.

In less than a year I've had on 1 cue:

-LePro...HATED IT.

-Triangle...best bang for the buck.

-Sniper...SPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN city, till it delaminated on me.

-Talisman WB hard, not bad but a little too hard for my game.

-Talisman WB medium, so far I like this best.

I've not worn any out, except the self destructing Sniper.

When i was using a Le-pro i basically waited till it was almost to the Ferrule. But i was also scuffing and shaping the tip once or twice a week.

Now i have a Moori Med, and i have shaped it once when it was put on, and then scuffed it once, about a week later. And now i just use a tip pik before i play or practice.
