I've got some ideas for good pool movies...

Here is a pitch for a sure box office hit, "The Tony Watson Story" starring Steve Buscemi as Tony Watson. Or here is another, "Dough Boy and the Train" starring Jimmy Kimmel as Shannon Daulton and Adam Carolla as Mike Coltrain. Oh, by the way, does Jennifer Baretta get naked in this new flick? That will be the determining factor as to whether I will watch it or not.

TV's better.

I still say that a TV show based around pool would be a much better venue than the movies. You can develop the stories much better and pool stories are better taken in in shorter spurts than all at once. Think back to the hustler. It was telling a story, but it was a long movie and it was really a bunch of short stories compiled together about the same character that culminated with him playing fats. A story that showed the growth of the character and him overcoming the challenges he must to become a better player.

T.V. is much better suited to that type of character development.

Quentin Tarantino

I think a Quentin Tarantino film in the way of Four rooms would be awesome for a pool movie. Have a person get caught up in different situations in different pool rooms but make them tied together somehow. Now that would be cool. Besides which, if it were done by Quentin, then the younger generation would be more apt to gain interest in pool.
