Ivory Ban 2014 - June 9th Meeting Results

So Joe since it was just a case of missing paperwork.. Did you get all your ivory back? Your cigars? or did they have Cuban Cites paperwork?

Sounds a little condescending but I'll entertain an answer. If you want to bring it down to its simplest form then yes, the paperwork was missing or actually never filled out and approved. We could have gotten the ivory back but our lawyer said it would probably cost $10k and about 12 months of time so we abandoned it (we valued it at less than $10k). We chalked it off to the cost of doing business and moved on. Our business didn't skip a beat as we were still selling the very next day. We just had to cut a lot of ivory and fast!

God only knows what happened to the cigars. They supposedly destroyed them but I wasn't there so I can't answer for certain. I was sitting on my patio smoking a cigar when they showed up. I welcomed them, (yeah, you should have seen their faces) and said let me know when you're done.

It was an interesting experience. Our tax dollars hard at work raiding people for not having permits. Gibson guitars was raided in a similar manner.

On that note, I'd also like to say welcome to the tens of thousands of illegals currently flooding our borders. Where are the Feds now? Oh, probably busy raiding some 6 year olds over spilled milk.
