Ivory points in a Meucci Original?

Hey All!
A friend from work asked me to sell her late husband's Meucci oiginal for her. I don't know much about them though. I'll be posting pics soon, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not these older Meuccis were ever made with ivory points or butt caps. The material in both on this cue appears to have grain, but I wasn't sure what it could be. Thanks in advance!

The knee jerk reaction is to say it probably is not ivory. But he made a lot of one of a kind cues for players. I owned one briefly made for Lassiter with a 9 ball rack inlaid in the butt. Could be ivory, you have to have it looked at by someone who would really know. If you say the butt cap may be, you will at least have a place on the bottom of the cap to maybe do a test without hurting the cue. Also, the butt cap gives you a chance to view the material from more then one dimension. Ivory is pretty unique looking when you can see it from different sides. Look forward to seeing the pictures.
 
Thanks guys i appreciate the replies! Upon closer inspection there is a sleeve above the butt cap that is grainy, but the butt cap itself is a different material
 
I got a gambler that has what I believe to be ivory points, you can see the grain and it hasn't yellowed like the plastic inlays do.

I also have a rifleman that has the plastic points, which I had refinished but were very yellowed when I got it.

I have two meucci cues that was suppose to be ivory. I had a cue builder to look at them and he said it was ivory. I spoke with Steve Lomax and he said it was not. They do have the grain and look just like ivory. I had a cue collector that was with Chris Gentile when they came through Al look and he said it was hard to tell.
