a friend of mine has a cue with a solid ivory joint, much like my Edwin reyes but without the scrimshaw, he visited me here is the US from japan, we were playing one time and afterwards he noticed that his ivory joint has a hairline crack on it, he was wondering if there is any DIY solution or remedy to it other than having the joint replaced since he is kinda broke and couldnt afford an ivory joint replacement.

thanks in advance

would appreciate all the help he could get :)

if its solid ivory you should be ok for a while. eventually the crack will get bigger but wont change play. just cosmetic. unfort the only true fix is replacement

also depending on how it is he could have it faced off. that would change the legnth a hair but no guarantees he doesnt come back if the maker cant get past the crack. i say leave it
