J&J pool cue case users - satin dividers or fiber tubes - preference?

I'm shopping for a new pool cue case. J&J has a couple of 4x6 models that look good. Some have satin dividers and some have lined fiber tubes.

Any pros or cons of either style??

The dividers are thin and not that great, get the tubes case.

Leather or Balistic?

Why J&J over JB? cost?
Not everyone has : A.300bux for a case and/or B. Wants to deal with JB. Can be a 'tad' out there(read some of the Crical case thread) at times. The J&J CH24 for 130 is a very well made case. I've got a J&J 2/4 that has springs in bottom of tubes(no stuck shafts) and its still like new after 15yrs of use.

Yes, John can be... passionate about cases sometimes.

I have lots of J&J 1x2's, 2x4's that came with different internet/estate cues I have purchased over the years. I keep them for mailing cues to Proficient or back to makers so they are not stuck in a tube or just wrapped in bubble wrap. I'm not a big fan of how tight their tubes are, I guess if you have nothing but production cues its just snug but some of my cues can only fit joint down and still stick up a couple of inches because of girth. I just have to remind them they're just big-cored....

But for everyday league toting and travel, I would probably buy a used JB off ebay or FB marketplace.

I’ll ad to not everyone:
Wants to wait 4 months or sit thru ridiculous Facebook live auctions just to get ahold of one is his cases. 😬

I've owned both...my Justis case has tubes, and I'd never go back to dividers....

I really like my 3x7 Instroke basic black case:

They have leather and style upgrade options also.

Two things I would improve for this case are:
  1. stronger / reinforced top handle if you want to carry cue ball(s) in a ball bag plus a towel
  2. strap could be wider

I remember when I bought a justis case At the expo. I considered buying a used one from someone there until I picked it up. It was the old tube style case. No way I wouldn’t want to carry that all day at a tournament. Lol Way too heavy for my skinny shoulders. I went over to his stand and bought the pro lite

I custom ordered mine from him...it's a 3x6...is it heavy?...yes...but I wouldn't trade it for the world...wish he was still in business...my second choice would be a Whitten...
