Found a skin cream in the clearance section of Walgreens,

Odor like something my grandmother would wear.

Leather couldn't get enough of it.
Just a CM on the lid, no name ($2)

I have raw African shea butter, often an ingredient in skin creams. But you have to be careful, you can oversaturate the leather. A little goes a long way. I have had the same tub of it for at least ten years. I have a variety of products. Depends on the type of leather and what it needs. Saddle soap, mink oil, febings products, dyes, sealers...if your not sure, be very careful. Test it on another piece or an inconspicuous area. Properly cared for, your "good" leather will last a lifetime plus your grandchildren. Improper care sends it to am early grave.

shop around for the Good Stuff.
anything less will just float on leather's surface,
I got lucky with the container I found, CM stands for Caswell Massey.
Try eBay *

this is what I locked horns with:
Thanks and I will definitely look for it.

Found that cream I used on a fluke, it was a 1 in 1000 happening.
Saddle Soap would be choice.
(i just got lucky)
Salvation Army thrift stores, clearance section of places like Walgreens or Duane Reade ect, and eBay.
Nice find. Saddle soap can be great, but isn't my first choice for reintroducing moisture and oils.

I'm going to a Vintage Clothing or Good Will shop to see if I can find a quality Cashmere jacket to make the lining.
