Does anyone know if Jack Kompan (Mystic Cues) is still making cues? I have a friend that really wants to get the purple heart jumping cue after trying mine. I think he might be retired, but not sure. Thanks guys.

I just spoke to Jack on the phone and He is no longer making cues. He recently had a triple bypass and is doing well with his recovery.
He does have some of playing cues for sale still but no jump cues. If anyone would like to contact Jack about his remaining cues, please give him a call at his home number (214) 404-9852. (Jack makes a really great playing cue too). The are all 60" and play great.
If you ever get to spend some time with Jack, He is a very impressive man with many talents. He published a couple of Magazines in Asia. After retiring and selling the Magazines Jack & his wife moved to the U.S. Jack has many business ventures but making cues was his passion. His wife wanted him out of the cue business for some time but Jack just couldn't quit easily, he loved it. Finally after a bout of cancer followed by Bypass surgery, Jack has decided it's time.
Whoever get's Jack's remaining cues and equipment should know, they have some mighty large shoes to fill.

For a really great Purple heart jump cue I would suggest getting in touch with James Hanshew and get on the waiting list. James and Jack were friends. I know Jack made a huge impression on James. Both really good guys. James =(254) 498-1941
