This is a review ive done before: Cue Review is a limited edition 2 of 10. I was very impressed with the quality of the materials, the joint, and the butt diameter felt great. And the hit was fantastic. Also liked the phenolic insert in the shaft instead of brass. This is unusual for 5/16x14. and it is flat faced. like the fact that the pin is piloted at the bottom also for a tighter fit. The cue feels better than a joss IMO. Very similar to a schon but i think that the construction methods are better than a schon. As far as production or custom. i would classify as custom. Instead of one man shop. There are Mike Tony and Karen. They dont use computerized production machinery and pick their own woods. They produce about 400 cues a year as compared to thousands for production cue. So you have the sharp points instead of the cnc cut rounded points unlike joss and schon. -Im not knocking joss or schon just a comparison and my preferences.
I owned an upper level Jackson. I really liked the cue. The only thing I didn't like were the rounded points. I liked everything about the cue with the exception of those dreaded rounded points. I prefer a cue with razor sharp, even points.
Jackson cues doesnt have cnc rounded points unless they are floating pts. Joss and Schon have the cnc rounded pts. Unless they are old Runde era or old joss.
Here is the Jackson i did a review on. Notice nice sharp points.
thanks for the info, im gonna go hit a couple Jacksons, one player and one J/B, and wanted to make sure it was worth my time, and it appears as though it is. thanks again.
