Jacoby break cue

I'll do what I can. I had a Jacoby Edge a while back. I was pretty pleased with the build quality and the appearance. It had a Samsara break tip and broke about like one would expect it to, which is to say, well. The shaft had a pro taper, so it was a bit more flexible than a break cue with more of a conical taper. The only problem I had with it and the reason I sold it is that the butt felt bigger than normal. My primary playing cue is a Schon and it was definitely bigger and just felt a little funny. Other than that, I think they are as good as anything else out there.

I've used a Jacoby Edge break cue for the past couple of years and I have nothing bad to say about it. I get a lot of pop out of mine with seemingly minimal effort. Only break cue I've tried that was close to mine's performance was a Lomax. I highly recommend.

Highly recommended!

I had a bunch of different break cues before I got my first Edge and its an excellent cue for the money. As mentioned above, the but has a taper that goes from small to big to small which I believe actually helps put a little more power into the breaks while controlling the cue.

I have a jacoby custom jump break that is out of this world. By far the best break cue I've ever tried. If you jump a lot I would recommend their jump cue over jumping with this though. I don't so it's perfect for me. Hope this helps!

I have used the jacoby break cue and did not care for it.

I would recommend the predator BK3 in that price range or the mezz break cue.

I had an OB break cue before, and I showed it to Dave (Jacoby) at the Derby. It too had the barreled taper in the handle area, and he acted like he did not know theirs (OB's) was also made that way. Whan I picked up the OB break cue I had just assumed that Jacoby made the butts for them (since the Edge break cue was out well before OB's). Anyway, they both work VERY well, but I have since switched to a different Jacoby cue (a playing cue) that I had a Samsara break tip put on....it's PHENOMENAL!!!! Butt and shaft are laminated maple (grey and natural - kinda looks like a zebra)
