I recently purchased a custom Jacoby and it weighs about 19.2 oz's. My question is, does anyone know what tool is used to take off the bumper? It doesn't take a SAE/metric Allen wrench. I need to get it out to weigh it. I have contacted Jacoby's site but, I haven't heard back from him and need to lose some weight. Thanks for any and all help. Ron.

I would give him 3-7 days to reply. I am sure he will. Cue makers are busy guys with work at hand. I emailed one & got a reply in 4 days. He said he was busy making cues. This made it more clear to me. Most of these guys are not surfing the internet. They have work to complete.

David and Brandon are currently in Vegas for the APA Team tournament, I went to their site and it said they would be there until the 28th. If you don't receive an e-mail from them, you can always call (assuming you don't get your answer before then) They have very good customer service and will be happy to answer any questions.

I figured he was real busy. I was hoping another cuemaker could help me figure out what I can get to take out the bumper screw while I was waiting for Mr. Jacoby. It's been a little over a week now. Thanks all. Ron

Jacoby weight bolt

Sk8ordie,
I have repaired numerous Jacobys, and have a few in the shop right now, and I have yet to see one with a bumper screw. Every one I have seen has the basic screw in bumper, with the std. 3/8 x 16 right hand threads to hold it in.
Maybe someone has changed the set up, or it it could be a very old model.
As far as the weight bolt itself goes, it is also a 3/8 x 16, and the allen wrench used to remove it is a 3/16".
Sincerely
Rudie
