Jamie's Ebony Sneaky Pete

I am just about ready to send this cue off to a fellow forum member. I thought I would share the images with everyone.

It is a 19.5 ounce birdseye maple and ebony sneaky pete with nickel silver ring packs. The joint collars and butt cap are grice (a white phenolic). I used a proto-type joint pin milled out of G10.

Is this a full splice cue, or short splice with flat bottom points?

Very classy and nice, Bryan!

What is different about the 'proto-type' g-10 you used and the other g-10s we've seen?

Thanks,
Pigg

Yipppppeeee!!! That beauty will be headed my way. It came out exactly as I envisioned it when I spoke with Bryan the first time. The only change was the new joint pin. I will post a review of how it plays after I receive it.

Bryan has been THE best cuemaker I have ever worked with. Even though this is a Sneaky Pete and not an intricate cue with inlays, Bryan still gave it his full attention. He kept me updated with emails and pictures throughout the process. If you are considering having a new cue built, I highly recommend contactng Bryan.

Sharp looking cue Bryan! I am really impressed with your photography also, great job!

I'll be in the market for another cue in a few months! I've got it narrowed down to 3 cuemakers and you're one of them.

Keep up the good work,
Zim

I haven't used G10 very much so I am still developing the thread form. This particular thread is a 3/8-10 unlike the traditional 3/8-10. This thread has wider flats at the crest of the thread. I milled the threads and see myself eventually going to a different thread form (3/8-11 stub acme).

Time permitting I should write an article discussing in more detail the reasons for the move.

Thanks Jamie.

I have enjoyed working with you and appreciate the kind words. I am anxious to get you your cue and hear back from you.

I like the ACME type flat bottom threads you made. Makes a lot of sense to me. Better grip and should last longer. :)

Dzuricky cues...

Hi Zim,
How's that Dzuricki playing?

-Oz

Bryan..that's a beautiful cue.....actually all of your cues ( that I have seen) are first rate! Now if I only had the money! I don't know if this is the proper place to ask...but what would a Bocote Sneaky Pete cost me? Please send me email at: ozmanix@hotmail.com

To Zim

Hi Zim,
I was wondering if you had any 314's for sale...something that would fit my Dzuricki? Since you already have a DZ, you could sell me a 314 that fit it, rather than me sending out my entire cure and losing precious playing time! Let me know..if you have any you can quote me a price by sending e-mail to usmanmarium@yahoo.com. Thanks!
