Japan Open

I think what I miss the most about Japan was that on any given night, you could get the house pro to play for cheap 1-5K yen sets (at the time, real close to $10-$50 for a race to 7). And I really miss those all night sessions of "Go-Ku".

Dave I can still get the cheap sets here in Okinawa! My favorite though is still ryuku 9 ball. Great game.

I wish you lots of luck. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! I ended up undefeated in the double elimination rounds and got two rounds into the single elimination bracket where I got curb stomped by lining.

Dave> I haven't played goku much lately, not many in my town will play with me anymore. I wish I could play more, the only times I get to play it are when I travel to other parts of Japan.

2 weeks ago I was in hyogo for the ama-nine. I played 10 ball Japan with some of the locals. Almost lost my ass if it wasnt for a series of last minute masuwaris to save the day. lol. It seems to me like the players in west japan are of a somewhat higher caliber than east Japan, at least as far as amateurs go. What do you think?
