Jarrod Clowery in Lemonade War at Salem?

On the local news this morning in D.C., they did a segment on a lemonade war between a 9-year-old and an 11-year-old and a sausage vendor in Salem, Massachusetts, in front of a sports stadium.

The tikes wanted to sell their beverages to sports fans, but a sausage vendor became upset went these young lemonade entrepreneurs took away some of his customers. The upset sausage vendor was Pool Player Jarrod Clowery. He was standing in front of his vendor cart, pointing his finger at the unlicensed lemonade stand. The local authorities ended up giving the youngsters a license until school starts.

The last time I saw Jarrod competing was at Snooker's in Providence, Rhode Island, at a Joss Tour event earlier this year. He did turn up in Maryland on the road with "Shorty" several months ago, and he played in last year's Open as well.

I hope Jarrod comes to the Open again this year so that I can say: "Rack 'em, Sausage" :D

I heard this story on the radio while driving in today. Don’t look to pretty for the ol’ sausage boy.

A similar story happened last year in Miami. Two young girls decided to raise money for the tsunami victims selling lemonade. Someone complained and the local authorities shut them down. Well, it hit the news and people started making donations to them, about 2 million.

I heard this on the local radio station yesterday and when they said "Jarrod Clowery," I just groaned.

Did he not want his customers following his sausage with a refreshing beverage?

Wow! This must be big news! I heard it on a sports radio station in NY too. Geez. C'mon, Jarrod!

Did they mention that Jarrod is a pool player?
Hopefully not as it can do nothing good for the game and it's image.

Koop - Let the kids sell their damn lemonade

I assume this is all a Road Player coded message - Presumably a "Lemonade war" is when 2 good players are playing worse and worse against each other trying to convince the other to give them a huge spot.

Geezy peezy, even the Associated Press makes spelling errors. They spelled Jarrod’s last name wrong TWICE within the same article.

Jarrod is actually a super nice guy. A father of a beautiful son who looks just like him, at least he’s got his priorities straight and is earning an honest living and a guaranteed income. As we all know, pool can put you in the poor house if you let it.

I hope Jarrod sells enough sausages to make it to the Open again this year. I’ve seen him play on numerous occasions, and he’s definitely got game.

This is killing me! Ha ha ha

Jarrod could lose his job at the sauage stand. I am sure after being on the news and in the press, alot of people not buy from his stand after this bone head move....

I'll betcha poor old Jarrod had no idea that pointing the finger at the lemonade kiddies would put him in the national media. :D

I do know Jarrod, and he isn't a bad guy at all. If you compare it to pool, it would be like a vendor paying big bucks for a booth at the Super Billiards Expo, as an example. The vendors there would be plenty upset if people walked in from the street and just set up shop selling their cues, not incurring any of the associated expenses that they had to post up.

I think Jarrod's sausage stand also sells lemonade, and his lemonade sales were dropping because of the location of the youngsters' lemonade stand, right next to his sausage booth!

I wonder if Jarrod knows he's made the front-page news. I'm sure he'd rather be remembered as a great pool player and not as a lemonade stand snitch. :D
