I've only seen Earl play "live" once and he was a complete gentleman. However I've watched enough taped matches to know he can resort to some pretty silly things. That being said, I think if he plays poorly with no B+R's and still wins matches, he should still be given respect for his ability.

Bit of a bummer for Jasmin, but at least they are both through, maybe she'll get another chance. I'm glad to see all four Dutchmen also made it to round B. Now I just have to get a little better at this betting stuff.

Sucks that Earl beat Jasmin, to me that's the upset. Jasmin should havwe crushed him. I wouldn't be surprised if he was sharking her the whole time too.

Earl is not that far past his prime, if at all, Jasmin could NEVER
ever beat him in a long match or on a consistant basis, no woman could and only a handfull of men might.

Per a report on InsidePool, halfway through the match, Earl started a running dialogue with the crowd. This is just one of the many things Earl does to distract his opponents. IMHO, he has no class at all.Icon of Sin said:

He lacks class, agreed, but we all know that about Earl. I'm surprised after all these years he can still get under people's skin.

I've played in rooms where even when you lose you better act humble or you're asking for it and heaven forbid you act the clown when you win.
I doubt he ever acted that way when he played in money matches in foreign rooms.

This is pool,just because earl likes to talk or look his oppent in the eye doesnt make him a sharker.I wounder if all these earl bashers have ever been to a tournament and seen what players do. Just about every player has something that could distract another player but it seems only the ones who cant concentrate on there game make comments.I've seen Ralf Beat Earl a few times and if Ralf could go any slower they would have to put the match on 2 dvd's when they sold it.Then I watch ralf play a lesser player and whola,he's flying thru the racks! Players do it all the time.there's always been talk between players in the warm up room but now that woman are playing they have to shut up,comon,how many times has there been action in the warm up room that everyone talked about,like the "mouth" talking down someone on the next table,its just part of the scene.The IPT is great but lets not make it like kindergarten.Basketball,football,hockey,even baseball has players jawing eachother. Jasmin a pro player and a very good one,I'm sure she's delt with male players before who have tried to rattle her cage and handled it fine.Thats why she's a pro!!
