Jayson Shaw's 714 becomes 669?

Azhousepro clarified in Billiard News that they decided to treat the 46th ball of the run as the first of a new run, thus the 669 record.

I'm not sure how that works, but that's the story.
That's not how it works at all.

Kinda like running out from the 3 ball.

I don’t understand why a run can’t start in the middle of the rack as long as the balls aren’t placed by hand. We don’t rerack on every miss in competition.

But even so, why wouldn’t you at least accept the run starting at the next break shot? Maybe he has three records lol.

So the foul happened on the 45th ball, and they allowed the run to restart from the 46th ball?

Why not start the run at the beginning of the next rack (57th ball)? He'd still have the record.

Straight pool starts with a break shot.

If I run out from the 3 and then break and run 2 racks, is that a 3 pack?
