About a month or two ago I ordered the very basic JB case for $250 and I was finally able to pick it up this past weekend. We had originally decided on a nylon finish as this was the most cost-effective, but after some issues with production he upgraded it to leather and incorporated the new holding system for no extra charge.
The holding system is very interesting and useful. It forces the items to be raised when the lid is open for easy access, but they are still secure and do not fall out. Another very nice feature is the flexible configuration. The case is a 2x5 or 3x4
I have tested both configurations and the 3x4 is a bit more snug but still functions quite well.
I asked for a custom outer configuration and everything was exactly as I ordered (2 equal size pockets, handle on the right, side-opening lid). For $250 I got a solid custom configured leather case and the 1st to have the new interior. The lid fits like a puzzle piece as well.
I'm thoroughly happy with my purchase and highly recommend JB Cases.
