JB Cases Question

So, I'm looking to get a new case soon because I seem to have too many cues for the amount of case I have.

I was looking at a JB Rugged Butterfly and was wondering if the protection on the Rugged Butterfly is as good as on the regular Rugged? Does anyone have both that could tell me?
 
No, the protection isn't as good on the butterfly as there is no PVC in them like the rubbers. Just the board.

John has been dabbling in a new sorta hybrid where he puts the PVC sleeve in the butterfly cases now. Bit him or Karen up for further info, they look the same just built for kinda what you are looking for.

Awesome, thanks for the suggestion. Having a hard time deciding which kind of JB to get.

I've purchased about 21 cases from them so far and haven't been disappointed in any of them. What I really like is the variety and also the ability to ask them to make personal alterations. I thought the last case I bought from them would be my last because it was a 3x6, but I got a new interior to make it a 4x4, but still not enough lol.

I'm currently working on getting a crazy 4x8 hybrid rugged with a 5x6 interior instead.

As of now it's up in the air between another rugged or a leather case for me. Less protection kind of ruled out the butterfly style ones, unless the butterflies with tubes are ready to go already.

John showed a couple of them this week in one of his lives on Facebook so I would ask, think they are available now.
