Got a good quote, never hit one, but pics are awesome...Anyone have any experience with these ? I have always been told to avoid Phillipene and other cues due to low quality and diverse climate conditions...Will not order shafts as I use Katana...Any input appreciated...

i think jd cues are great for the money i think u will be happy but i will agree with other poster there not easy to resell

thanks for the replies..i am not worried about the resale I was more concerned about the quality of the butt of the cue...as in straight and even points, warpage, quality clearcoat, etc...

i just sold a gorgeous one and the new cues by Joel are amazing. Considering he does a lot the inlays by hand they line up better than several american custom cue makers I know with big fancy equipment.

His newer butts are reinforce with at least a laminated and cored butt section so it won't move.

I like his stuff and he is a standup guy with full lifetime warranty that is transferrable 1 time

The finish is hit and miss and over time you will see this.
His designs are nice and his work is nice but the climate
change for the price is really not worth the risk.
For the money there's so many reputable makers that will make
you a quality cue without the worry of climate.
I've had about 6 JD cues now and have given up after
I was told he changed his finish and it still turned to crap over time.

Ive owned 7 JD cues, all hit a ton and very well made. He puts a lot of details in his cues, if made in the US it would be worth $$$$ Highly recommend
