I think he's talking about the weight bolt which has Olney and the year the cue was made etched on it.
Heres a new cue from Jeff with his new internal permanent weight design. (SW style butt plug) Some striking curly & highly figured Cocobola.G10 3/8 10 Flat top pin. Super tight fit. 19.3 oz.

Here ya go. 4 point w/solid ivory joint. This was a cue me & Jeff collaborated on that started with a 4 point design I ordered from Gus in 1977 with the black white motif & then Jeff duplicated the black/white veneers & spiced it up a bit. It was the first cue like that Gus did & I've heard he liked it & made others w/black/white veneers. Gus would be mighty proud to see this incarnation. Black leather wrap done by Cory Barnhart & Bama Joe shot the pics for me.

I really like the light colored phenolic collars & rings used in this cue. Really makes the cocobolo stand out, I think. Congrats to ya Daniel.

Yea I posted it awhile back. Actually the new weight system isn't the signed weightbolt but rather if weight is added it's epoxied somewhere in the butt with no access other than drilling it out. In other words the weight is what it is. Jeff likes to keep his cues right around 19 0z. Also this cue has no signature but rather a letter from Jeff with the particulars. He really detests signing a cue as it can detract from the beauty of the wood, especially if the ink smears. Personally I agree with his decision.
