Hi Jennifer:

May I include your ESPN footage (the match with you and Julie) and mix it in with Melissa's match? It would be something like the AZ Billiards Ladies video. It will be done tastefully. It won't be all of the footage, just highlights of your game, with background music (classical music, mebbe?)

I think this is something you have to clear with ESPN & the WPBA. If it were up to me alone I'd say 'go for it!'.

Even if he isn't going to sell it?

Have you heard of anyone getting arrested for recording, for private use, a television program? I haven't.

You can be sued for anything anymore, it's sad.

Cue of Fury  , I hope you have a good lawyer because I'm going to sue you now for the simple fact I was in a happy mood till you used the word "sad" and subliminally changed my mood.

(PS- I was going to sue for 1mill ...but I'll let you out for $500,000)

I work online with websites and so on and have had numerous company (5-10) lawyers contact me for one thing or another (most is just lawyers desperate to bill their clients for something lol). Most of the time its just a Cease and desist order. Unless you are selling it or causing a problem there shouldnt be too much of an issue. Just do it tastefully and dont copy an entire match and so on and then at the end or the beginning give credit to both the WPBA and ESPN to show good faith. Maybe toss up their names and website URLs in the credits and a thanks to them. However as with everything though... contact a lawyer as we cant give you legal advice.
