Hey Jennifer,

I was just wondering if you have seen Jennifer Chen use her jump cue at all? A friend of mine (www.fostercues.com) made her one and i was just wondering if she uses it. It has a Phenolic Tip and I'm pretty sure it is either a solid curly maple or solid birdseye maple butt. Doug is interested in sponsoring WPBA pros by providing them with a Jump Cue. I know you likely have one that you like already, but if you see Jennifer ask her to try hers. Its is far superior to any other jump cue on the market, bungee included. Give it a try and if you like it I'll have him make you one and ship it to you.

Thanks,
Ryan Lynn

Hi Ryan,

I haven't watched Jennifer Chen play a match in a while so I don't know what kind of jump cue she uses. I use a bungee, but I am looking for a better jump cue. I've tried the tadpole and I really like that one, but I will take a look at Jennifer's at the next event.

Thanks,

Jenn

Jenn,

I'll extend a similar offer. I have a jump/break cue made by an up-and-coming cue maker from Oklahoma. It really works well and I'd be happy to send it to you to try. Some really strong road players use them and it might be worth a try.

I can send pictures and specs if you're interested.

Hey Scott,

Pics and specs would be great...I don't want to accept something if I don't think I'm going to use it. Thanks for the offer!

That wouldn't happen to be a CAM Custom Cue by Chad McClennon would it?

Thanks,

Nope. Petree custom, made by JW Petree. He and Chad know each other and I believe JW has helped Chad learn some of the ropes.

I'll send them along - probably this weekend. Should I use a PM here or send it to the contact email on your website?

How did the endorsement/sponsorship deal go in Milwaukee??

I've talked to Chad several times and have purchased some items from him as well as JW Petree. I'm an authorized dealer for CAM Custom Cues and am getting ready to order a cue from him for my collection.

Thanks,

Ziim,
I haven't seen Chad's cue work in person. But, JW tells me that he does very "tight" work. Since he also plays, I would guess you get a good hitting cue as well.

I have two Petree cues (one break/jump) and have two more on order. The hit on his cues is just what I like. Almost the same as my 1980 Richard Black, but even more solid and easier to move the cue-ball (if that makes sense?!? ). When I get those two, I'll post pics on the cue gallery thread.
