I guess not. Do you think the sticker is something special, or is it just a sticker?ToughRowToHoe said:Has anybody ever seen another one with a sticker like mine?

Lauri Franklin says the sticker is original.JimBo said:That sticker isn't factory equiptment, it may have been something a dealer used to keep track of the cue or the shafts or whatever, but it's not how SW does it. I know many people who put their name or an address there, in case an honest theif steals it. Or maybe it's so the guy who steals cues can go to your house and get your other ones??

That's it!!!! That's the straw that breaks the camels back!!!! Now I'm furious!!!!JimBo said:I forgot to mention boston sux! in my last post.

By the way, if your motives were positive, thanks for your help.JimBo said:That sticker isn't factory equiptment, it may have been something a dealer used to keep track of the cue or the shafts or whatever, but it's not how SW does it. Where are all the South West aficionados when you need them?ToughRowToHoe said:I guess not. Do you think the sticker is something special, or is it just a sticker?

Seeing is believing:JimBo said:I'm pretty sure my motives were just to comment on your question, as far as the Boston Sux comment I hope you know I meant the Red Sux, I think the city is a great place and I love Vinny Testa's. On a related note, get lost with all your dumb questions just to sell your cues, we have a special section here for sales and that's where you need to post your adds for your cues. I don't want to hear a dumb question about should I wrap it or not or should I have a TS put on it just so you can sell your cues. I don't believe Laurie said the sticker was original I've seen hundreds of older and new SW's and never once saw one come from SW with a sticker like that. And if you did call her and she did say that then why are you mad at all the SW aficionados? I mean you claim to have already gotten the answer from the top.
Jim
The authenticity of the sticker was never in question. I knew it was the real deal. I was asking if anyone has ever seen another like it.JimBo said:I don't believe Laurie said the sticker was original I've seen hundreds of older and new SW's and never once saw one come from SW with a sticker like that. Hello Stephen,
Lucky find!
The number "57" is just a storage place so we can match the shafts with the butt but it would help us to authenticate the cue. Certificate of Authenticity is $50.00 plus 30. 00 shipping. Usually can get it back to you in a week.
If the cue is ready for a refinish or new shafts, that takes 10 to 16 weeks. We can do it all at once.
I'll attach ordering information etc.
Thank you,
Laurie Franklin

Laurie Franklin knows business is business. I ask her about a sticker and she replys with cerificate of authenticity this, refinish that. I love it!!! Smart lady!!!
Anyway, you got me!!! Busted once again by the maestro. You see all the angles, my buddy. I'm really sorry if you don't like my guerrilla business tactics, but I do, for the most part, try to respect the individual forums.
Even so, if someone asks if one of my cues is for sale, the answer is always yes, and I'm more than willing to give them a price.
If you don't like my questions, please feel free to ignore me. I know you're a sensitive guy, but you don't have to worry about hurting my feelings. It'll take some getting used to, but I can live with it.![]()
Furthermore, on an even lighter note. I too love the Vinny Testa's. I get the chicken parm, but I like the bread best. You?
Finally, some parting words. As that other great Jim, Jim Croce, used to like to say:
You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with Jim, da do da do...
or:
You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't post in the wrong forum
You don't steal another man's cue designs
And you don't mess around with Jim, da do da do...
Thanks for being a good sport.
Regards,
Steve
