Jerry -R- Mosconi Bushka Tribute

First time I saw this cue, I had love how nice this cue look. Also, I have always dreamed of a Bushka and the Mosconi design is my favorite too.

When this came on sell, I had to jump on it.

Really happy to own this.

I have now played it for over 12 hours in these three nights. And have to say it hits great. Very similar actually to the Scruggs with a crisp dting.

This would be my backup playing cue.

I've heard that Jerry makes a great hitting cue and also the workmanship of his designs is excellent.
Well, I'm also sold on Jerry and boy, am I ever so surprised and pleased. He is a master cue-maker.
And ironically, both of mine are Bushka designs I asked Jerry to undertake.....it's my favorite design.

This hit so nicely, I almost considering playing mainly with this. But do like my fancy Scruggs just a little more. I hate to switch back and forth which can disrupt the play but both fits really well to me.

Maybe the only thing left I would be hoping to have was the Flat Ivory Joint, which I would like to have and try. Not really sure about the black leather wrap although it makes it look very classy and "formal"; I prefer Cortland and a lighter tone.

Tigerlam92......it sure sounds like we share the same taste in cues.

Both of my Jerry R. cues have flat ivory joints & Cortland Linen #9 wraps.

In fact, the last cue Jerry completed this past May is one of my finest cues.

It is so good that I am looking to get a custom 3x5 case and only carry 3 cues.
My newest Jerry R cue......my newest Bob Owen cue.....and a Break/Jump Cue.

If you do ever get a chance to get your hands on a flat ivory joint Jerry R., I think
you'd be even more pleased than you appear to be at this time......I am sure of it.

Like I wrote, once I can get a custom leather 3x5 cue case, my fancy Prewitt cue
and fancy Scruggs cue and a couple of others will stay at home. My latest Jerry R.
and Bob Owen cues play better than any cue I've ever owned or ever recall trying.


Congrats on adding a wonderful cue to your repertoire.

Jerry is hanging up his spurs. Soon no more from Jerry.

Besides Jerry's imminent cessation of cue-making due to pending retirement,
the one you just got is a darn handsome design and if I recall correctly, the rings
in your's cue's butt came from some original old stock Palmer acrylic Jerry had
in his inventory that he was saving........a lot of it got used for Deanoc's Bushka I
project.....there's supposed to be a Bushka II project and I haven't heard anything
about it......I received the first cue in the Bushka II project this past Memorial Day.
Anyway.....just some FYI......your cue is a great looking design by any standard.

This is definitely from Deanoc's Bushka 1 project and was originally built by RascalDoc.

I saw it back then and been eyeing it.

Great cue. I almost bought it a little while ago. Didn't have the funds - I was thinking about selling a testicle... I'm glad that it is with someone like minded, that appreciates it. All hail traditional cues!
 
with a mind for the future but a heart for tradition. :). Love the traditional look.

This thing is competing for table time with the Scruggs oddly. I put it into the case and it keeps coming and staying out. This is from one that only play with one cue and don't care to switch around.
 
I understand....I wasn't joking.....if I could get the dandy Rusty Melton case that isn't for sale
that's posted in this Gallery, despite that it's a 2x4 and not a 3x5 design I want, I'd only carry
my last two newest cues that arrived days apart just before Memorial Day. That means I'd be
leaving my Prewitt and Scruggs cues at home with all my other cues. Those are two top notch
cue-makers to get left at home for the sake of carrying the cues made by Bob Owen & Jerry R.

The advantage I might enjoy over you is switching cues is easy for me since all my cues basically
weigh the same & the two newest ones have identical specs so moving back & forth is really simple.
You've played with your Scruggs for awhile so don't be surprised if you find it hard to just pick one.
