I didnt think i had ever built a cue with that wood combo lol.. Definitely not burl... The forearm is coco the points are bobinga with curly maple veneer and the 4" section is bobinga and the handle and joint is curly maple..... When we built this we were trying to make it look like the butt was in front of the wrap section lol pretty fun build and it plays really good and awesome balance well GLWS

This cue plays JAM up (like all of Jim's cues)...I had the idea for a butt sleeve in front of the handle instead of behind, (doesnt really apply with a wrapless :)...this was the prototype to see how difficult it would be to build, and how it would play...the next one will have inlays in the "forward" butt, nice ringwork and a leather wrap...I cant wait!

Thanks for confirming you built this MONSTER. The person who owned it b4 me said they were the original owner of the cue & gave me this exact description:

jim Pierce & I shared text messages about this cue & I sent Jim the pics above that MN Hunter was so kind to post. Jim advised me that he would charge $850 to build this cue & said he would take it back in a heartbeat w cash on a trade as long as it was in excellent condition.

Pierce Cue is currently TRADE PENDING.....
