I would like to know more about this cue I am able to get one.

This model was only made for a short time as the butt and shaft both were not standard length as I recall. I'm not sure there was even a model number or name. Every time they made these the laths had to be reset. The balance was very different than an ordinary Meucci. There were made in the mid '80s I think. I had one for a while. Last I knew these were selling at around $1000 because there weren't very many of them. I bought mine from Jim Rempe's then partner, Joe Davit from Scranton, PA.
Sorry I can't tell you more.

Edit: MAY be in the Blue Book. I'm on my way out and can't look right now. Story of how I came to buy mine later. Somewhat embarrassing:(

I'd contact BudgetBilliards. They're basically Meucci's outlet store and owner knows a ton about older Meucci's. Cool cue, never seen one.

Not much information on these, apparently. I had one and there were two more, one owned by a friend of mine, in the Binghamton, NY area in the late '80s. I remember mine seemed to hit better than the everyday Meucci. I couldn't get used to the balance being off so I traded it for a David Howard model that I was more comfortable with.
The embarrassing thing, I sold my Southwest to buy it.:o Shortly, and I mean very shortly, after trading I was on the phone with Laurie Franklin. Couldn't get another Indian Rosewood cue, Laurie told me when I got mine that it would be one of the last, they could not get the wood any longer. It's one of the two cues I wish I'd never let go of.

Heartbreaking

What a bummer, what happend to the Mooch you ended up with?

There is no model number. These cues used to come up on Ebay all the time around 15 years ago.

I sold it. I really didn't like them all that much at the time. I think I acquired a couple of other cues shortly after and sold all of them. I did get a cheap plain Meucci that I played with until my new Southwest arrived much later.
I now have a Brazilian Rosewood Kevin Varney that I like a lot but it's not like the Indian Rosewood Southwest.
