Jimmy M. Wins 1st Leg Of Az. All Around

Were ...

events in the all-around handicapped? I have heard how much their handicapping system sucks in Az.. That's the reason Donnie Brown moved back from Phoenix to Oklahoma.

NO HANDICAPPING WHATSOEVER....The All Around events are strictly open events....

I guess the only real handicapp is that you must have a valid Arizona ID to play in the events...

Actually I think the state may slowly be moving away from the # rating system and moving toward a simple A / B / C rating system for weekly events......I would prefer this, however it would be a detrament to my supplemental weekly income....:)

Currious Ken, what is your rating? I know the system is not very accurate... I was put in the system as an 8 about six years ago. When I moved, out of AZ, I was handeling most 9's without too much trouble.

What speed do a actually play depends on the specific moment in time....I can hit some of the ugliest shots you have ever seen.....but I can also play half way decent...

A Bar Box is probably not the best measuring tool, but I finished 17th -whataever (one out of the money)...In a farily strong 64 player field...I don't think there was one player in the tournament that could not break and run a rack...(not that its that hard on a BB) ....

I beat a 9 rated player in the tournament and also a 10 rated player in the tournament (no handicapp) I lost my second round match to Doug Hale after being in the lead in the set. I broke with the score 7-5 and was left with a 3-rail position shot through traffic from the break.....I made the shot but hooked myself...I lose that match 7-9...I win two matches in the losers side (one of them a 10 rated player) and am up 4-3 against another 10 rated player. I think I may have missed, or played a bad safe....but at any rate my opponent got controle of that rack and ran out...He then broke and ran the next four games...(I need to work on my racking skills...:)..I did manage to run the rack after my opponent came up dry on the "hill" break...I then broke being down 8-5 and came up dry...He made the 1-balll and then a 2-9 carom....

After all that what am I truely rated....In my opinion, I am probably one of the stronger B players you will see...and one of the weaker A players you will see....but that won't stop me from throwing my donation into the ring...:D

BTW..... I am officially an 8 rated player... ;)
