Jimmy has contacted them and is living in a group home in Georgia. He has "accepted the lord and has been sober and clean for 4 months."

I have known Jimmy for a while, and I'll have to admit that I expected the worst in this case. Jimmy was never scared to go into any environment and gamble, throwing caution to common sense and good judgement. He has told me of situations he was in where he was lucky to have survived.

Many people will disagree with me saying this, but.....If Jimmy is happy being saved, more power to him. And I know he will make the decisions that cause him the most happiest. But I wish he would just clean his act up some, but still get out to gamble and play tournaments like he did. He certainly can do this and stay "clean and sober". He is a huge pool talent, and a true pool "hustler". There aren't many left that approach the game, and its elements, as he does. He is from the old school, although not an old person. Players like him are what attracted many people (me included) to the game. He is one of a dying breed.

I wish him well and would like to offer my support in any decisions he will make.

It sounds bad to say that its surprising but it is. I feared the worst.

Glad it proved otherwise.

I hate to say it but I have to be honest. I feared the worst as well, but I AM GLAD I WAS WRONG.

He will definitely have some stories to tell!
