How man times has anyone run out from the opening break?
I saw on wiki, that since 1982 ,there have been 77 147 games. It does not say who broke though.

I'd never seen it happen until now. Those 77 will be official tournament 147s, this was just an exhibition. It's extremely rare for a professional player to try sinking a red from the break in tournament play; Quinten Hann did it very occasionally and that's about it. Invariably it's a defensive break in snooker, like in straight pool.

There's some trivia about clearances from the opening break in this thread:

Jimmy White 147 - from the opening break !

Hi Dangerousdave,

Every 147 is unique in its own right and when I tried to view this one it said ,The URL contained a malformed video ID .

I have found this to be a problem when trying to view video links before so any details on the match involved I would like to know about and I can maybe view on another website .

Have fun and keep smiling :)
