"A" Players

How can you advertise the tournament as a B player when you allow the following players? Tab, Little Mikey, Petey Livingston, Robert Green, and I'm sure I'm leaving out some. We all know these players AREN'T "B" PLAYERS!!!

You guy only pay out 12.5% of the field? That's kinda brutal...

Are these guys really playing? I was planning to play in this, but I'm not driving all the way down there if this is the case. I was gonna bring several people with too.

OMG, stop all the crying and go play some pool.......

Sorry for jumping in this thread but I just can not take all the whining anymore.
If people do not have the heart to compete then they should just be quiet and go practice.

I don't know that this is the case but, I think people get a little peeved when they see something like "b players only" and see master caliber players in the tournament :) Especially when those actual "b players" drive a few hours to a tournament to find out they are totally outclassed. Been there, felt that way, got over it. But it is discouraging to say the least...

OMG why don't you mind your own freaking business. I was questioning what this guy said about the possibility of guys being let in to rob the tournament. In my experience the only guy who bring up the heart issue are the ones trying to get over on somebody. I'm a B player because I do my practicing after work. I can't hang around the bars and halls day and night playing all the time.

For all those worried who are worried, like railrider, about who is an"A" player I suggest you come down and give it a shot before you judge this tournament to be unfair!

I know that entries are checked before a player is allowed to enter or play.

Honestly, look at the guys you are worried about.

Lets start with Robert Green. he is definitely a B Player. A good B player but still a B player at best. He hasn't even wan an amateur tour event in his career.

Robert Green: http://www.azbilliards.com/thepros/2000showplayer2010.php?playernum=3503

Then there is Petey Livingston - He hasn't either.

Maybe you should be looking for a beginners tournament say maybe a C or D tournament instead.

And it is my business since I plan to play in the event. Thanks.

I dont know who is signed up or not but i can assure you lil mikey is no b player livingston finished top 13 in music city open etc. a vs b can be so subjective a term one persons definition can be quite different from anothers.

I'd like to play myself but after quitting for 10 years my "b" status has dropped to a low c :P so not high enough:)

I've seen alot of so called B player that are really A players and never won any kind of tournament. So don't say there not a A player just because they never won a semi big tournament.

hey coopersshon what do you consider yourself an A, B, C or Pro. Just wondering? How do you match up with Lil Mikey, Petey Livingston, Tab, Robert Green? Because it sounds like you can give me the 7 ball and if that is the case you and I can just forget about the tournament and we will just play
