Joe Rogan / Fedor Gorst

Me and you used to playing table 7
Those were good days- A little Peyton Place also. Glad to see you are still around. Still in touch w Tracy I presume! Haven't seen that killer Irene since about 2 years before she adopted the little baby.

If or when you come up to New York again, especially for the UFC fight at the garden. My daughter works for the NBA so I get the tickets in the suite I’d love to see you.

That would be great. I love the UFC. When are they next in the Garden?

I watched quite a few of the Turning Stone stream matches and saw several different people post up that they were watching because they saw/heard the Joe Rogan podcast with Fedor and wanted to watch him play. While this clearly didn't double viewership from just one podcast, I thought it was a good sign that it actually motivated some folks to come and watch who normally don't. I'm hoping Joe actually does some of his own streaming/commentary of matches like he was talking about, and has more pool personalities on. In an industry whose media always feels like it is preaching to the choir, it would be huge to get more visibility from someone like Joe who has millions of listeners who aren't already into pool.

I always liked Stalev, and think if he stayed the course, he would be as good as Fedor.
One of the best moments in pool I've witnessed was the 2014(?) World Tournament of 14.1. Stalev won his match on the stream table, and Schmidt was due to play next. Stalev asked John if he could keep going, as he was on his personal high run. John said to keep going, and even racked for Stalev. Unfortunately, as the count went beyond match play, STalev's run didn't count as the tournament high run; otherwise, he'd have had it.
I just thought a guy like John Schmidt agreeing to hold off on his match and rack for Stalev in ordr to push his high run, was a great moment, and a good example of the highs that can be had between players.

and his opponent in the match, mike davis, stepped into the com box and commentated the rest of the run! great pool moment indeed
