I watched this young man play quite a bit at the US Open.

Of ALL the PLAYERS there....

He stuck out from the field with his fearless/extremely aggressive/accurate pocketing game. He's got fire power and youth, man can he draw his ball. His demeanor at the table and how he reacted to mistakes, also drew my attention. He still makes some errors at times, but his pocketing skills often overcome his mistakes with great position and cue ball speed.
His recent win in Japan, go get em kid. :)

Something about his strutty attitude that just doesn't do it for me .... but .... He is beating EVERYBODY lately. If I was a betting man I would put it all on the nose for him to win even more big events in 2018!

Of the young Pinoys, I prefer Jeffrey Ignacio’s style of play more.
Arguably the most talented n gifted among johann, anton , de luna or dodong diamond.

He plays with a tempo, flamboyancy and flair that is second to none.

Sadly, a weak heart and lack of fight has cause him game to go downhill in recent years.

Theres a trend of him that makes him unbeatable when he has a long lead but sadly it makes him choke way too often when he feels the pressure.

I've followed him for years and, sadly, I agree with most of the things you said. Hope he can still get it together and string some good results, though, he's one of my favorite players to watch.
P.S. Man, has he packed on some weight lately.

Yep, he has been my favourite player among the pinoys to watch from his feather-less stroke, creativity and the throwing of cue aka slip stroke.

But he has a reputation of choking real hard in cash games n he has been bending over for the young breed of pinoy guns in recent cash games.

I saw a recent one with anton where anton looked like he was just practicing playing with the ghost.

We had a young up/coming player who got the yips during the Camel Pro tour days bout twenty years ago, was sad too see. He moved on in life and stopped playing. This game of pool and the toll it takes on each who chooses this path, always plays out in time.

It wasn’t the yips he had a nerve disorder. Legitimate medical issue. Michael Coltrane is I believe who your talking about

Coltrane got a form of nerve disorder/malfunction known as focal task syndrome. It causes severe shaking and currently has no cure(or really effect. meds.). Coltrane played an EPIC match with James Walden here in Tulsa in '96 and then not too long after he was done. Nice guy that could really bring it.
