OK, I have determined that I am only going to keep cues that I have either sent the wood to the cue maker or that i have had some input into the design. Going with that I have two cues that I will sell, they are the second and thrid cues in the picture. The Gina is expensive $6000.00 the thrid cue in the pictures is a John Bender not Mike Bender and is a sweet player. This is the 41st cue John made and the first one with long points. It has 2 shafts one a bit under 13mm and the other 13mm, one shaft is made from sunken maple. I am having John build me another cue so that should say something about what I think of this cue. I will not give it away I will make someone a fair deal of $750.00 on it but I will not let someone steal it. Shoot straight all.

I bought my first John Bender this year. It is a fabulous playing cue. On the strength of that cue, I ordered a second. John is mentored by Richard Black and is a builder to watch IMO. $750 is very reasonable.

I am not really pushing the Gina, its a damn nice cue and I just read that Ernie turned 69. I am sure he will be building cues for a long time yet but you never know.

As for the John Bender this is John's first long point cue and it plays great. I am playing with my Searing and JR cue as I sent both gentleman the wood for the cues and I like playing with a cue that I had some input into. I did send John some wood and he is making a cue for me, that should tell you something about his cues. I am not sure but I do not believe that John has a bunch of fancy equipment, he is building his cues the old school way. I honestly can not fault the build of this cue, and it plays! If thier is anything negitive about it it maybe that the points are not exact one is just a tad short. There was a time that I would have been bothered by that, having become more knowledgable I now believe it shows the hand made qualities of the cue.

I own a 62" Bender that I have yet to find one person who didnt think it hit incredible....

750 is stunning price for an incredible cue..

Shellhouse thanks for the comments on John's cues. John doesnt have the big name of many of the other builders in here but he is good friends with Richard Black and has gotten some guidence from Richard when needed. Johns cue does have a sweet hit. If it sells fine if it doesn't that is fine as well. This is the first long point cue that John made and it may end up having some collector/historic value one day.

I'll put it like this I know he intends to raise his prices on his new cues soon and even though I love my current one I am going to order a wrapless one to complete the set before he does. Best of luck in the sale. You might even contact John he may know someone local here interested. I am going to show it to someone I know today for you...
